Glavsberget Observation Tower

Mountain with observation tower and rest house. Mile-wide views in all directions, including out over the Bothnian Sea with the islands of Gran, Vitörarna and Jättholmarna as well as Hudiksvall's coast and islands.

The tower is about 14 meters high.

Drive east from the signposted exit just north of central Ilsbo. Follow the signs for about 4 km and stop at the road crossing at the new road about 500 m below the tower. Walk the last bit of rocky road up to the telemast and tower. Steep wooden stairs up to the viewpoint and the rest house.

You can also stop at the intersection about 1 km north of the tower and go south the last kilometer following the path/forest road to the tower.

At the rest house there is a barbecue area and a bench, etc. You can go here to have a picnic and enjoy the fantastic view!

ATTENTION! The road is very bumpy at the moment. Not suitable for you with a regular passenger car! But you can hike up the mountain.
